The Saints FC Bayern team travelled down to Baltimore this past weekend, competing in the top-flight of Baltimore Mania. Matching-up against some highly-ranked teams in the region, the boys faced quality competition. In their first game against FC Montco, Bayern suffered a tough 3-1 defeat, with the lone-goal by Aiden Donohue from Vayden Keith. However, the boys picked it up in the second game on Saturday, beating Coppermine SC 3-1 - with Isaac Deyoe, Vayden Keith & Emeryk Lagace leading the way with goals, Vayden Keith and Lennon Mane providing assists.
Day two started off with a must-win game against top-ranked Brausa United. In a game that was tough battle, Isaac Deyoe found the back of the net with less than five minutes left off an assist from Lennon Mane - propelling the Saints to the final in a rematch against FC Montco. This time, the game was very different as Bayern took control of the game early. In what continued to be a stalemate - it was Liam Gregory, off an Alek Brehm pass, that found the winning goal. Liam picked the ball up just inside midfield, found the keeper off his line, and chipped the ball in from 40+ yards out. The Saints completed the redemption arc, securing the trophy!
